Primary school, also known as elementary school or grade school, is the first stage of formal education, typically for children aged 5-11. It follows preschool or kindergarten and precedes secondary education. Primary education focuses on building foundational skills like reading, writing, and basic mathematics, while also fostering social and emotional development.

In second grade (or Class 2), students are typically 7-8 years old and focus on strengthening foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. They expand their vocabulary, practice writing sentences and paragraphs, and delve into more complex math concepts like addition and subtraction with larger numbers. Environmental Science (EVS) and social skills like sharing and self-management are also emphasized. 

Grade 1

In primary school, Grade 1 marks the beginning of formal education for many children, typically starting around age 6. It's a crucial year for developing foundational skills in literacy and numeracy, as well as introducing science, social studies, and creative arts. The curriculum often includes subjects like Math, English, Science, and Social Science, alongside special classes like Art, Music, and Physical Education.
